When Are the Spring School Holidays in 2026?
NSW Term 3 finishes on Friday 25 September 2026, and Term 4 begins Tuesday 13 October, which puts the spring school holidays at Saturday 26 September to Monday 12 October. That's roughly two and a half weeks, noticeably longer than the two-week autumn and winter breaks, and it also swallows the Labour Day long weekend on Monday 5 October, so the first week in particular tends to book out early. If you're planning to stay anywhere on the Central Coast during this window, especially over that first weekend, it's worth locking in accommodation sooner rather than later.

The Art House in Wyong runs a proper spring school holiday season most years, and 2026 is no exception. Confirmed on their calendar so far: Cirque Nouvelle on Tuesday 29 September, The Listies' "This Show Is a Joke!" on Wednesday 30 September, and Mario the Maker Magician over 6-7 October. Cirque Nouvelle is priced from $45 for a child under 12 up to $65 for an adult, with a family-of-four ticket at $210, and it's described as suited to the whole family, though it does use fog, haze and strobe lighting, worth knowing if you've got a younger or sensitive child along. The Australian Reptile Park

Pelican Time at the Entrance
Pelican Time runs at Memorial Park on The Entrance foreshore every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, on public holidays, and every single day during NSW school holidays, at 3.30pm. It's still widely known as "the pelican feeding," though it's not one anymore. Council moved it to an eco-friendly format a few years back, run by volunteers from Marine Wildlife Rescue Central Coast, who talk through pelican behaviour, rescue work and the birds' role in the local ecosystem while everyone watches them in their natural habitat rather than being fed. It's free, no booking needed, and the foreshore has parking, a picnic area and public toilets right there, which makes it an easy one to slot into a beach day rather than plan around.
